Register | 1st Forum on Sustainable Production in the Health Sector

The 1st Saving Lives Sustainably: Asia Forum 2018, with a focus on Sustainable Production in the Health Sector, will take place on June 13-15 in Manila, Philippines, and free registration is open until April 30. Asia Forum is organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the support of Health Care Without Harm and other organizations, such as the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, The Asian Development Bank, UN Environment, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNHCR, and Business Call to Action. The event aims to facilitate a dialogue between the key stakeholders from the global health sector and showcase front-running public and private innovations on the sustainable production of health commodities. 7-9 May 2018, San Diego, United States - CleanMed is the premier national environmental conference for leaders in health care sustainability who are on the leading edge of greening the health care sector. It was the one time each year for health care leaders in the United States to connect with those who make purchasing decisions for their facilities. It is presented each year by Practice Greenhealth and Health Care Without Harm.

 

Launch of Sustainable Health in Procurement Project

20 April 2018, Istanbul, Turkey – United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with Health Care Without Harm (HCWH), officially launched its new program Sustainable Health in Procurement Project (SHiPP) with an inception workshop that took place on 17th-19th April, in Istanbul, Turkey. Funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), SHiPP aims to reduce the harm to people and the environment caused by the manufacture, use and disposal of medical products and by the implementation of health programs.
