Health Care Without Harm is looking for an organized, flexible, and personable individual with strong project management and budget management skills. The candidate will also display excellent communications and writing skills. They will be culturally competent and must be equally comfortable working with numbers as with communications and writing. The candidate will be a part of a team working on the intersection of climate change and global health and play a central role in supporting HCWH’s global partnerships (across India, South East Asia, Europe, Latin America, the USA and more).

 

Position Description

The International Climate Program Coordinator is responsible for administration, project management, and program and communications support for Health Care Without Harm’s International Climate Program, with an emphasis on projects and partnerships in India. The ideal candidate is an organized, flexible, and personable individual who is equally comfortable working with numbers as with communication and writing. The International Climate Program Coordinator will play a central supporting role within HCWH’s International Climate Team and India partnerships, while also working with HCWH’s staff and partners across multiple regions. 

Requirements

Primary Objectives

  1. Administration and project management (60%): Coordinate the operational implementation of HCWH’s International Climate Program, with a special focus on the program portfolio in India. This includes planning processes, contracting, budget management, interface with HCWH finance team, team meeting coordination, internal and external monitoring and reporting, event and travel planning, and other duties as required, working closely with HCWH staff. 
  2. Program and communications support (40%): Support HCWH staff and regional partners (with a special focus on India) to advance program objectives, support strategic planning and evaluation, support newsletter and website production, identify needs and opportunities, and communicate about the program to a variety of audiences.
