New brochures on medical waste management now available in English and Nepali

Since 2022, Health Care Without Harm, our partner in Nepal HECAF360, and the German Agency for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit , GIZ) have been actively collaborating with hospitals in Kathmandu, Nepal, as part of a crucial project to promote environmental resilience and sustainability in health care waste management.

As a vital component of this initiative, a brochure has been developed in both English and Nepali addressing the country's critical issue of medical waste disposal. This resource provides invaluable guidance to health care professionals and facilities, covering various waste types, essential tools, and best practices for proper waste segregation, handling, and disposal, aiming to empower a larger audience to make informed decisions about sustainable waste management practices.
